TM Original Card Game |
Kill The Kings |
Players:1 Getting started: To set up play, remove the four kings from the deck and place them face up on the table, with room beneath them, as below. Shuffle the remaining cards.
Objective: Score as many points as you can in 3 rounds. You score points by killing a king, which is done by putting 5 cards of alternating colors below it. The round ends when either all 4 kings are killed or you cannot make a legal move. The game is over once 3 rounds are completed. Gameplay: Play begins when you draw the top card from the top of the deck. You may then place that card beneath a king of opposite color or place it in reserve. You have 4 reserve spots which any card can be placed in. In future turns, you can either play a card from reserve, or from the top of the deck. When a card is played below a king, it must be opposite color, and a lower value than the card above it (aces are low). After you kill a king, you cannot play any other cards beneath it. You continue to play each round until you go bust, which happens when you have 4 cards in reserve and attempt to play a card from the top of the deck and cannot. Example 1:
That Ace of clubs can either be played beneath the 2H or the 3H. If played beneath the 2H, the king will be killed! Note that the Ace of Spades is in Reserve and CANNOT be played immediately, since a card has been drawn from the deck. Example 2:
All four reserve spots are taken, AS, 3C, 3S, 6S. If you draw a card which is black and above 3, it cannot be played and you will go bust. So, at this time you may (though needn't) play the AS from reserve on the 3H. Scoring: Each round, you get points based on the number of kings you kill in one round. 1st King: 1 point Killer
Mode: 7 points in 3 rounds wins the game. You need to declare what mode you're playing before you start! For clarity, this means that if Round 1 you kill 2 kings, Round 2 you kill 1 king, and Round 3 you kill 1 king, you get 5 total points and lose. Video Rules: Kill The Kings Video |
